Personal Life

As for her dating life, it is known that the oldest Hadid child dated the Australian singer Cody Simpson from 2013 to 2015. A short relationship with Joe Jonas followed.

Sometime after that relationship had ended, in November 2015, the model was first linked with Zayn Malik, one of the members of now broken apart bend One Direction. The two were spotted holding hands, but the fling was yet to be officially confirmed. The singer had broken up with his fiance Perrie Edwards, member of the Little Mix, nearly four months earlier.

The fans had gone crazy when Malik posted a picture of the two cuddling on Instagram. More posts of the two follow during early 2016.

The two kept dodging questions in interviews. They don’t make it official until Malik’s first solo music video drops, “Pillowtalk”, in which the two kiss repeatedly.

In April 2016, the two traveled to Italy to do a photoshoot for Vogue. They walked the red carpet for the first time at the 2016 Met Gala. They also appeared at both London and Paris Fashion Weeks.

There were some break-up rumors, but the couple’s Instagram profiles had put all of our doubts aside; their posts were full of cuteness.

In 2017, Gigi and Zayn appeared on the cover of Vogue. It sparked some controversies, as the theme was gender fluidity; yet neither of the celebs was identifying themselves as gender fluid. Of course, Vogue apologized for this mistake.

Everything seemed to be full of love and happiness until March 2018, when the couple calls it quits. The reason was rumored to be their “crazy work schedules” that kept them constantly apart.

Only a few months later, the two are spotted lip-locking in NYC, and the relationship is back on track. But sadly, as 2018 ended, so did the relationship between Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik.
