La estatua mas alta.

A fines del siglo diecinueve culminó el vaciamiento de la Patagonia argentina. Miles de indios fueron asesinados. Esta política asesina fue llevada a cabo por “grandes próceres “ como Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, que pensaba que las tribus constituían un peligro para la sociedad, y por Julio “Asesino “ Roca, que llamaba animales salvajes a los indios.
Esta campaña mal llamada “ del desierto “ ( ya que la patagonia está mas desierta ahora que antes ) fue solventada por “ nobles “ entidades como la Sociedad Rural y oligarcas de apellidos conocidos como los Pereyra Iraola, Martinez de Hoz, Anchorena, que al terminar la masacre y con Roca de presidente ...se repartieron seis millones de hectáreas .Al morir Roca dejó a sus herederos sesenta y cinco mil hectáreas de tierras arrancadas a los indios.
Actualmente Roca tiene la estatua más alta del país, su rostro decora el billete más valioso y llevan su nombre una ciudad y numerosas avenidas , parques y escuelas.
Los pocos indios que sobrevivieron a la matanza y que luego fueron reducidos a la servidumbre y a la esclavitud cantaron , al irse de sus tierras :

“Tierra mía, no te alejes de mí,
Por más lejos que me vaya yo.”
