we saw several of these in Taroko National Park in Hualien, Taiwan. the webbing is so strong that it can pull and bend a tree branch.

Believe me I've seen these babies. I tell myself I've gotten over my fear of spiders, but if one of these showed up in my apartment, that would be the real test. And I would fail. I'm glad you haven't completely abandoned fotolog!
