FRUIT AND MEMORIES
11/16/09Yes, this one is the real thing, the real ferry, sailing back and forth, back and forth between Kowloon and Victoria Island.
Back and forth, for weeks and months.
Back and forth, for years and decades.
Like the ferry of my life. The ferry where I am both passenger and captain.
Do I really have to go back and forth all the time? Even a ferry is a ship, isn't it? A ship that can go anywhere.
The real thing, yes. It is not a game any longer. Because we cannot win this game, whatever we do, we will lose in the end. The last ferry will not allow us to take anything with us: no wealth, no merits, no medals.
The tragedy of it, we can lose, before we ever win anything. If we are just sailing back and forth, back and forth, back and forth...
This picture is a scan from a slide, therefore the poor quality. It was taken in one of the most exciting towns on Earth, a town where different cultures meet, where past and future live side by side.
A town I would love to go back to any time...

Erwin, Du bist schon so weit rumgekommen in der Welt, da macht es doch nichts, wenn man jetzt an einem Ort festgesetzt hat. - ich persönlich liebe überhaupt keine Veränderungen und würde niemals freiwillig im Alter umziehen, so wie Deine Nachbarin, aber die Menschen sind eben verschieden. Reisen, ja gerne, aber immer wieder in mein Zuhause zurückkommen - solange es eben geht.

Das habe ich doch gleich erkannt, dass es sich um die reale Version des Modells handelt :-)
Du bist ja sehr philosophisch unter deinen Bildern. Ich persönlich finde gerade die Veränderung spannend und bin immer sehr erfreut, wenn die Welt sich weiterdreht. Ich versuche gar nicht hinterher zu kommen, sondern genieße einfach meine Sicht als Zuschauer. Ich kann meistens nicht viel daran ändern, doch mich betrübt der Gedanke auch nicht. Ich gehe meinen Weg und den bestimme ich selbst - davon bin ich überzeugt.
Das Bild vom 14. fand ich übrigens auch sehr schön...

The first book i red many, many years ago, and i think ( after seen all the other from that time to now) the best for its semplicity and the love which she wrote it....
But i think may be you'll think i am fool.....
Autumn is the right season for these dives in the past, don't you think? And the older we grow, the more past we have ... Ouch! Quality of your scan seems quite OK to me - better than mine :\

It's interesting to see the two pics. Are you having Winter blues already, my friend? Cheer up, Erwin! As you said, there's no way out, so there's nothing you can do, unless you believe you're going to heaven (or to hell, in the worst-case scenario...).
