Beaver Pond Forest, Kanata

The fallen leaves of the surrounding trees got stuck on the branches of this pine tree, like Christmas decorations

Like a Christmas tree, yes! I had this thought the moment I saw your thumbnail.

I have often dreamed, one should go outside into the forest on Christmas eve and dekorate one of the trees, with candles and the lot, and there will be snow out there, and then one would feed all the animal coming out of the forest....

Fantasy....

Un appelle aux gens à la décoration !

Hello Tooshy, I sure like this Beaver Pond series. So nice to have this nature right in your neighborhood. Do you ever get to see the beaver? I watch for beaver but seldom see them.

Thanks for your comments. The picture was taken using sport mode and also using a 40-150mm zoom lens at or near full zoom. I took 40 or so pictures of gulls in flight and more came out bad than good. I expect that but I do hope to get at least one good picture out of six to ten takes. That's my average. I spent about an hour or more watching the gulls and shooting pictures on and off. I looked for gulls far off that seemed to be flying my way and tracked them with the camera until they were close enough for a good shot. After some trial and error I seemed to find a rythm that worked. I was fortunate for some great light. That's about it. Not too technical but a very persistent approach.

I hope you enjoy the day ahead. Hugs, Greg

Muy bellas tus imagenes, he andado un poco apurado en casa pero en breve te visito con más calma.
