Dee Dee e Vera foram casados de 1978 a 1989, ou seja, praticamente durante toda a carreira de Dee Dee enquanto "ramone".

Recentemente Vera (Veronica Kofman) lançou o livro "Poisoned Heart - I Married Dee Dee Ramone (The Ramones Years)", sobre o tempo em que viveu com Dee Dee.
