Carpe diem es una locución latina que literalmente significa ‘cosecha el día’, lo que quiere decir es
«aprovecha el día, no lo malgastes».
Fue acuñada por el poeta romano Horacio (Odas, 11.8):


Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero
‘Aprovecha el día, no confíes en mañana’


Se puede entender como
"no dejes para mañana lo que puedas hacer hoy".
O igual "vive cada momento de tu vida, como si fuese el último de tu existencia"
