look at THIS bullshit. the michigan GOP is using the Punjabi language to help it "satirize" the issue of outsourcing, since the democrats in that state have apparently flip-flopped on it. satire...i wish it were only something that harmless. i wish that my non-profit/activist spider sense wasn`t tingling.

i watched Michigan`s Governor Jennifer Granholm make a twat out of herself yesterday at the democratic convention, as she spoke ignorantly in an attempt to pander to the unwashed masses, yearning for an excuse for all of their problems (blame indians!), and i was beyond vexed. after the beauty of Obama and the fire of Sharpton...the podium deserved eloquence, passion and truth...three things Granholm lacks in spades.

perhaps my former party affiliation (disclosure: i was a republican) still has a hold on my heart; i am not happy that they are using the Punjabi language for pettiness, but i do note that they write:

"This webpage is not intended as an affront to any person or country, merely the variable nature of Michigan Democrats` position on outsourcing."

why that soothes me a bit, i don`t know. i wish i could read Punjabi, so that i could figure out what the page said...in any case, i wanted to make sure that you guys saw it too...

what do you think?

a press release further states that:

""This is not a slap at anyone or any country," said Greg McNeilly, executive director of the Michigan Republican Party. "This parody is dedicated solely for the benefit of Michigan voters who want to know the truth about Democrats outsourcing Michigan jobs to India. Until the Democrats come clean and start telling the truth, we`ll keep a spotlight on their actions - and reveal their hypocrisy."

acckkkk, i think if there wasn`t a giant Bush/Cheney logo on the page, i`d be able to consider this more rationally...
