Britney Spears 10 años: The Singles Collection
Bienvenidos al TRACK #64; hoy les traigo el segundo sencillo "Lucky" —en español: "Afortunada"— co-escrita y producida por Max Martin y Rami, e incluida en el año 2000 en el segundo álbum de estudio de la cantante, Oops!... I Did It Again. Durante el segundo semestre del año 2000, "Lucky" fue lanzada por el sello Jive Records como el segundo sencillo de Oops!... I Did It Again. Con ello, "Lucky" se convirtió en el sexto sencillo de Britney Spears en los Estados Unidos y el Reino Unido.
El video musical de "Lucky" fue dirigido por Dave Meyers, grabado en Orlando, Florida, y se convirtió en el sexto video musical de Spears en ser enviado al retiro en el programa Total Request Live de MTV.
El vídeo comienza con Spears narrando y presentando la historia de una famosa actriz de Hollywood en su mansión, llamada Lucky. Mientras la narración habla acerca de lo hermosa y rica que Lucky es, también a su vez, muestra el lado triste de cuando Lucky se encuentra a solas, lejos de las cámaras y de sus fans.
En la segunda parte del video, encontramos a Lucky recibiendo un Oscar como mejor actriz en los Premios de la Academia. Se ve con felicidad como ella recibe tan importante premiación, riendo a la par con sus admiradores, más este no es el real reflejo de su felicidad. A la salida del recinto, mientras camina entre su multitud de fans con dirección a su limosina, Lucky vislumbra a Spears, la narradora de su historia, entre la muchedumbre, y se siente apenada una vez más. El video finaliza cuando con gritos de canto de la misma Lucky, ella se dispone a dormir.
