"¿Y que le dijo?" le preguntaron al médico.
"Dijo que es una bomba de tiempo" respondió el médico "es normal en estos casos".
"¿Puedo pasar a verlo?" dijo ella. El médico abrió la puerta invitandola a pasar. Él estaba de espaldas, mirando hacia la única ventana de la habitación, la cual tenía tantas rejas que apenas se podía ver hacia afuera.
"¿Que pasa?" preguntó ella. Él giró. "No me entienden" dijo. "¿Que cosa no te entienden?" quiso saber ella. "A ver" dijo él conteniendo cierta bronca, y siguió "estamos adentro de un reloj de arena y vamos cayendo de a muchos, ¿si?". Ella asintió sin demasiada convicción. "Los granos de arena que van cayendo, son historia, ya fueron, representan el pasado. Los valiosos son los de arriba, porque son el presente y el futuro... pero ¿que pasa? en un momento los granos de arriba también se terminan y el reloj se da vuelta, entonces los granos que estaban abajo y que representaban el pasado vuelven y todo aquello que, en su momento superamos, o creímos superar vuelve una y otra vez... ¿se entiende?". Ella asintió nuevamente y dijo "Los granos de abajo también son valiosos".
