Bleecker Street Series #4
Bleecker Street Tour begins here: <A HREF="http://www.fotolog.net/ronni/?photo_id=6907957" TARGET=_top>http://www.fotolog.net/ronni/?photo_id=6907957</A>
Sandwiched between the newsstand and the newly renamed Pet Central, Toosh sells mens clothes nothing special, nothing trendy nor classic, no particular style to speak of and it feels completely out of place on these blocks of Bleecker. It does not seem to be the sort of shop to attract tourists, nor does it have a large enough inventory to be a regular stop for local residents. So I dont know what its doing here, and I cannot remember ever seeing a customer in the shop.
Personally, I`d prefer a less garish awning too.
I had no trouble uploading this morning, but I noticed:
1: The "delete" button is gone from my f/f list (not that I would want to delete any of you good folks), and
2: The link to add me to someone`s f/f list is missing.
These problems don`t exist on those of your sites I surfed this morning and I don`t see any note on the home page alerting us to any function downtime. zine, you`re right; it`s worse that water torture.

Dear Ronni,I`ve been enjoying this series on the neighborhood very much. I haven`t spent much time here on Fotolog either, for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is the continuing (and ever-changing form) of the site`s dysfunctionality. They fix this, which screws up that, and so on. In any event, I got a real chuckle out of this shot. I find it so ironic that a men`s clothing store would call itself Toosh, since it`s the one thing that most men no longer have after the age of 40 (second only to their loss of scalp hair). My wife found it especially humorous, since she is the one who frequently reminds me that I no longer have one at the age of 55. Thanks so very much for you wonderful comments about my work today. I truly appreciate them. In response to your question, all of the work that I have posted on my flog was shot in available light. The entire automobile series was shot in daylight, under a wide variety of weather conditions and at different times of the day. Nothing was done in the studio or with strobe lighting.I hope that you stick around, despite the frustrations. I do look forward to your images and the commentary that, for me, is so important to them.

You`re right about my other complaints too, boogers. In the past few weeks, I come to fotolog so seldom - and with trepidation when I do, with good reason - that I`ve forgotten how works.

You know, boogers, you`re right about the link to add someone to friends and favorites seems to be a fix the admins have made. Until the past day or two (I haven`t visited here since Thursday), there was always the "add to my f/f/" even on our own fotologs when we were logged in. It`s a tiny fix, but a nice one to have made. Now I wish they`d get to the bigger problems.

Hi Ronni, I like the tour of your neighborhood. I should take some pictures of San Jose. I think the link to add your flog to someone`s f/f list won`t appear when you are looking at your own flog, since you don`t want to add yourself. I think you can test that by logging out and then going to your flog. Also, I think you would see the "romove" link if you view the f/f list from the link at the top of the page instead of from the "more" link on the right side of the page. Just trying to save you from the torture. :-)

Glad to see you are persevering, Ronni.

I must have passed this storefront hundreds of times, and have never noticed it. Though that casual figure lurking in the doorway feels very familiar.

That is where zinetv buys all his clothes. Well, when he used to wear clothes .... :)Funny how (what I imagine) a cheap lease can keep someone in business.

Great Fotolog :)
War is the plague that human beings bring upon themselves. It is also a plague we might be able to end. On any given day since you and I were born, some part of the world has been at warin 2003 the total number of open conflicts was thirty. In the twentieth century at least 108 million people died in wars. Of the 20 largest military budgets on earth, 14 belong to developing countries. The United States spends more on its military than the next 16 countries combined
