R*2 - The Flog

Last night, RC's family and my family got together at my parents' house to celebrate in some good ol' eat fest! It was great. It was also a special day because it was the five-year anniversary of our first date. As a gift, I got him a chef's jacket. He looked pretty sharp in the kitchen with his new duds. As always everything he made, was perfect (though never good enough for his standards). The rest of the food was great too thanks to contributions from my mom, sister, his mom, his sister and his sister-in-law's mom (and even me)!

I love this holiday for what it reminds us to do: take a moment and reflect on all that we have in our lives that is so precious. This year, I spent a lot of time thinking about all the things that I have that others don't. I think I am going to make a Thanksgiving resolution to try to make other people's lives easier. Not just these people that I love but those around me that are sometimes invisible because I don't know them and whose problems are too great. I will see them this year. And I will give them something to be thankful for next year.
