A sceptical look because of the camera maybe, but he seems not to actually care. Must be a special experience to see one from so close in nature - we saw one in the Alps some days ago, but from far, far away. And no deer, unfortunately, and none on hiatus either!
The sunny Grey Heron picture is great also.
Hugs,
Margit
A amizade é a doce canção da vida
e a poesia da eternidade.
O Amigo é a outra metade da gente.
O lado claro e melhor.
Sempre que encontramos um amigo,
encontramos um pouco mais de nós mesmos.
O Amigo revela, desvenda, conforta.
É uma porta sempre aberta
em qualquer situação.
O Amigo na hora certa, é sol ao meio dia,
estrela na escuridão.
O Amigo é bússola e rota no oceano,
porto seguro da tripulação.
O Amigo é o milagre do calor humano
que Deus opera no coração!
É sempre um prazer passar por aqui.
Deixo um forte abraço e o desejo de um excelente dia para você.
Saudações Florestais!

Oh, deary Deer. The eagle eye. Pride of place, ha. Okay, I guess he's boss of the bush, sircar of the skies, but let's face it - only cause we let him.
The Deer here, I missed him and his humoristic mood! However this eagle is amazing, I'm enchanted.. nature can always surprise me, and I'm sure that's a very positive thing. I hope I'll never stop to surprise about what is around me. :)
Have a good week end, Chiara
also with a 300 mm lens you have to get very close, don't you think.
And yes, you are completely right, it's worth to climb up high to get to see and admire an Enzian - especially when the sun shines through it and a tender wind moves it a little...
Hugs to you and to dear Deer,
Margit
Gotcha, you naughty nuzzler. You don’t know about ‘sircar’, hm. It was in my English to Dutch dictionary, which led me to believe it had crossed the big deep by now. Well, mebbe not all the way to the PNW coast. I bet his lordship PW knows it - he seems partial to things imperial.
In case he refuses to share his erudition with one of the ungulates, here’s what Webster said in 1913:
Sircar \Sir*car"\, n. [Hind. & Per. sark[=a]r a superintendant,
overseer, chief; Per. sar the head + k[=a]r action, work.]
1. A Hindoo clerk or accountant. [India]
2. A district or province; a circar. [India]
3. The government; the supreme authority of the state.
[India]
