I thought you were gone from fotolog -- glad you dropped by. yeah, I'm still going strong with the pottery, did a small fellowship down at the clay studio (yes, THE clay studio!!) this july and august, it was great. I'm moving away from functional stuff, into the land of sculpture, which is both exciting and scary -- so many different kinds of decisions come into play, so many other kinds of issues. (for one thing, I have to re-think the whole glazing thing.) but yeah, I'm working in porcelain (love the porcelain!), throwing large, and building larger pieces from thrown sections as I throw them -- there's something about building, construction (and balancing) that's really got a hold of me, I want to see how far I can push it.
