in my absence from posting i've had some adventures with my friends the Organic Mechanics. they set up a display garden each year at the san francisco flower and garden show. i've helped them create, or rather, install their gardens for the last 3 years. my company, wigglestem gardens, has yet to do the show, but i'm receiving pressure to. so we'll have to wait and see.
this years theme was, "an underwater garden." we created a "beach" garden above, and the main garden or the "underwater" garden was on the main floor. it was built entirely of succulents and cacti!! it turned out amazing. so amazing that out of 23 gardens, it was awarded best of show!
very cool.
now i'm inspired to go see the Macy's Flower Show. i think i'll wait till after Easter to go, though.
