Después de Dinamarca no había leído casi nada de eso que se llama literatura hispanoamericana (un año dedicado a Borges y García Márquez de forma casi monográfica da para mucho), pero ahora que no puedo escarbar en la biblioteca de mis padres sino que dependo de lo que seleccionen y me manden, ha caído en mis manos una obra maestra, y claro, no me he podido resistir.
Ahora que he leído Los pasos perdidos mi envidia habitual hacia los que entienden de música se ha visto incrementada considerablemente, y creo que me voy a poner a leer la Odisea a la primera oportunidad. Además, es un libro que volveré a leer tarde o temprano, porque me ha enganchado, sobre todo por el lenguaje, la forma de sugerir, la forma de contar... Ella no Penélope, ida y vuelta de la realidad al mito, y del mito a la realidad.

Daniel Hall 108, Somewhere in the Americas

Besides, it’s a book I will read again sooner or later, because it gripped me, mainly because of the language, the way of suggesting, the way of telling… She no Penelope, round trip from reality to myth, and from myth to reality.
