the grand tetons, wyoming...

taken about a year ago, when i left the right and was driving on my way to be all right on the left. and how much has happened...what of it? none of it written here. not much written anywhere, it seems. and i'm not sure why. i was actually pretty much ok with it, though the fact that it happened still seems odd to me. words gone. out of nowhere. and things are good. that's what baffles me. no writing and things being good at the same time. but i guess lately it makes me sort of sad. i have half sentences, words i need to use, a couple of lines that need a home, all of them scribbled on sticky notes. this is nothing new. things always came and i jotted them down and used those little things later when the moment was write. but the funny thing is that the less and less i used them, the less and less they came. ok, not funny. and not surprising when you really think about the physics of it all. no writers block, just not the need i used to have to put words together. less time spent in front of a computer. more time outside. no more boring job where i could sit at and do my own thing all day. and i don't miss being so bored at work, not being challenged at all and almost going crazy. but i do miss having that extra time to do things for myself, my almost daily routine of the rapid clickity clack noise of words rushing out my fingertips magically with almost no thought. maybe the routine will come back if i make time. maybe i should. maybe i will. but i've said that often and don't do it. we'll see. oh, and even though i'm not writing for me, i've begun writing for a magazine recently. we'll see how that goes.
