In a new interview Scarlett talks about how she's been influenced personally and professionally by her five "dads": Woody Allen, Bill Murray, Tom Waits, Barack Obama & Bob Dylan.
Here's what she said about Tom Waits:
"I first discovered Tom Waits when I was about 12. My friend and I were going on a road trip with her dad and he played Tom's albums for the whole ten hour drive. We were just like 'what's this weird music?' but then it kind of became our thing, and then as I grew up I discovered his whole career, and just became a big fan of his.
I didn't want to do this album unless I recieved the ok from Tom, I didn't want to take his child and give it to some alternative life or something. I wanted to be respectful."

hooon that picture is way too cool, i adore the dotsy red dress and the dark wood thing! and of course her bright red lipstick! haha and that's the interview! a really really amazing one, i loved it. i really cracked when she talks about woody and she's like, 'expand your fuckin mind' or something, so funny, and true of course! and it's great that she got to sing songs that habe been with her for a long time, it's funny cuz i listen to a bunch of stuff my dad showed me and that i didn't get at first, i think it's really common to do that. and she did a good job with it, tom seemed to be happy and pleased about the album! and how cute is yesterday's quote! i saw the other pictures in your blog and they are adorable, man. i think she deserves it too, i mean ryan seemes to be a good dude and she looked radiant in her last event so, she must be happy! :) i hope you're doing ok babe, loved this picture!
