Fly me to the...

Now begins the story
behind the signs.

On the background you can see
the Fossil Rock, wich shows that
the decert has once been the
bottom of the sea.
You can´t walk to see them.
So I can not tell is there fossils to be seen.
The sand is so soft in many places and the rock
is rather far away. There were no one to ask the
lift to drive there trough the dunes.

Just wind and quiet sand:9

M-L,

You are right, I had no ants in my pants!

I like the rich reds of your own desert.

But how sad to see the lone tree fallen over, and the creatures of the sea once there now just fossils in the rocks. Well, if I read correctly the science magazines, the Rift Valley in Ethiopia, the cradle of Homo sapiens sapiens, is opening, and in just a few million years, its desert realm will be joined with the Red Sea. Perhaps that will happen here, too.

We will just be patient, no? ;-)

xo, P.
