Un cortometraje financiado por la autora de la saga de Harry Potter, JK Rowling ha ganado el premio a mejor cortometraje dramático en el High Definition International film festival.
El cortometraje de 15 minutos, Friday Night Shirt, trata sobre las madres solteras, y está protagonizado por madres solteras no profesionales de Yarmouth en el Reino Unido. - Fuente: Hpana

La traductora de la serie Harry Potter en portugués ha revelado sus impresiones iniciales sobre el título del séptimo libro, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, y su probable traducción al portugués, Harry Potter e as Insígnias Mortais:
"Hallows en plural significa entre muchas cosas los dioses paganos y sus lugares de culto. Cómo en el séptimo libro Harry estará procurando de los otros horrocruxes, tendría sentido procurar los lugares más probables, no?"

En una nueva entrevista al director de la quinta entrega cinematográfica del joven mago, David Yates, hablo nuevamente de como él habiendo producidos películas de un alto contenido político como The Girl In the Cafe, se le ofreció dirigir la Orden del Fénix. Yates quien nunca había leído un libro de Harry Potter, dijo: "Fue interesante recibir la llamada. Yo nunca me habría propuesto como candidato.
Sin embargo luego de leer la Orden del Fénix, él comprendió que la novela tenía fuertes alusiones políticas. "Y es probablemente el libro con más contenido emocional. Dado que leí el libro, de repente me encontré con la clase de cosas con las que yo siempre estoy involucrado."
Yates también habló sobre Umbridge y dijo que ella es: "dañina como persona. Básicamente ella abusa de Harry y le pone estas detenciones horrorosas. Es un abuso horroroso."
