About me

I love taking photos. To me it is about seeing. I mean really seeing, the difference between looking and seeing. I have found in recent years that I am a street photographer. I love to roam urban areas where there are visual surprises around every corner. I get into a kind of visual zone, which are the moments I live for. While I appreciate many kinds of images, it is people and their lives that continue to intrigue and captivate me. I want to know the people I photograph. In some way I try through my photos to communicate something about my subjects lives, their hopes and dreams. My photograph of homeless people has been the core of my photo work for the past seven years, and I will continue this project as long as I can. I want to describe the human condition and reveal the truths about our lives. My project is titled, “Essential Humanity” and that is my goal, to describe our shared human condition.
I take other pictures as the opportunities present themselves, so take some time and browse. Your comments are always welcome.
