New kitchen

11/12/09
The builders left this morning after putting the final touches to the stove and the floor. Now we just have to wait for the floor to finish drying and decide on a sink, worktop and cupboards and what we are going to put on the floor.

Much milder here though still showery and the wind has got up again. I'm off out to the shop to get some white paint for the kitchen walls - making the most of the empty space, so you can guess what I'll be doing this weekend :-)

Supongo que tocará pintar la cocina ¡¡
Hay que ver lo liados que estais.
Aunque de todos modos, no me pensaba que estuviese acabado tan rápido.
Y el resultado me está gustando.

Abrazos.

Love it!
Now it's worth staying at home for lunch-dinner!

:)

Nueva? Pues si es de esas antiguas ^^
Mi abuela tiene una en su casa :)

Ooh! I like that! Have fun choosing the rest!

Wow, Ms. Patsy! Nice looking stove/oven. Not your typical white metal finish unit found over here. Powered by nuclear/coal/wood/electric/wind/solar/oil/old newspapers?

Incredible!!! I can't believe my eyes!! How beautiful, Patsy!!! Congretulations!!

But may I ask you, this stove is for real cooking?? It looks a bit old fashioned to me, not really something for the 21st century schizoid man, is it??

hugs, ERwin

I expect you are at home on the range. But where do the deer and antelope play?

Looks nice, and handy too with the tiles on the sides. It's nice to have lots of heat proof spaces to dump one's hot pots on!
Ciao,

It's looking great, the tiles are really lovely x

Estas cocinas son las que mas me gustan

what a beautiful oven and stoves mate! seems pizzas and shortbread can come out perfectly baked from it!

ohhh, what a difference, looks fab, Patsy, hope you enjoy it -imagine the warmth from it when cooking in the winter will be very nice and cosy. The front bit reminds me of a steam loco, should have Vege standing there shovelling in the coal :-)

I like the kitchen, I need one really bad, maybe I will copy your's! My friend Booby has built many kitchens, he is a fine woodworker...a craftsman....have a nice day.

I meant Bobby.

Wow!! It turned out beautifully!!

Hugs!

Looks great Patsy, it's bee nice to follow this progect.

I hope you enjoy the day, Greg

Wow, what difference with your picture of 2 days ago! I bet you're happy with it, it looks great, and I can imagine a wonderful, warm and cosy kitchen around it.

Patsy, oh my god, I can't believe this; it is beautiful. I can just image how great it will look in the end. the stove and oven are very attractive. Very, very customized.

The weather here is the worst you can imagine. It has rained steady for three days. We are having a classic Nor'easter storm in the USA 40-50 mph winds and lots of flooding especially at he New Jersey shore where I holiday in the summer.

Have a great weekend.
Harry

Hi Patsy!
Wow, what a gorgeous stove. And wonderful tile work and design. Is it a real wood burner? It certainly has the look, which reminds me of when I was a kid, and we had such a stove in a small village in Vermont, along with a two room school for grades 1-6! It was great, but splitting wood and bringing it in on a cold night got old :) Hope you are well! take care *hugs*

Wow, I can leave a message, I couldn't a couple of weeks ago, I left a message on Maisie's flog for you hahah.. I wanted to see Before and After pictures. But hey, this looks fantastic, I am very inspired! Look forward to further progress pictures :-)
