Time for an update!!!

Let's see... It's been 5 days...

Saturday 20th June:-
Woke up at 6am and left at 7am for the skid pan driving... We got to Mount Cotton around 7.50am and we went and parked in a section near an information area and had a little look around. I saw an absolutely stunning red Maserati GranTurismo and an Audi TT then we drove to another parking area where the driving would be taking place. As we drove out, I was following Mum and Chris in my car and I looked in my rear view mirror and what was behind me? A bright green Lotus Exige! It was funny watching it attempt to drive over the small speed bumps, making sure not to damage the splitter at the front - it didn't have much clearance at all! I don't mean to sound stupid but if you owned your own Lotus Exige, why would you pay to drive someone else's? I tried calling James but he couldn't talk. He said he wouldn't be free until around 7.30pm [4.30am AEST] so I said I'd call then.

We got to go out in the Holden Commodore, driven by the expert, first to give us an idea of what to expect... IT WAS GREAT!!! :-D To do drifts in an automatic rear-wheel drive car is quite easy. My first go was in the Holden... It was actually quite easy to do and I didn't shit myself, like Mum said I would!

The second go I did, I went in the Lotus Exige... To start with, it was actually quite tricky to get in and out of with the roll cage inside it and it has quite a small steering wheel, the clutch is quite light and easy to use. Being so low to the ground, you feel like you're going much faster than what you are. I spun out a few times in it as the accelerator is quite touchy indeed, give it some gas and the arse end flicks out! Quite fun indeed!

The last 2 drives, I went in the Holden again and last the Lotus again.
After that, we could take our own cars out if we wanted so the man that owned the Maserati took his car out and did a few laps before someone complained of noise restrictions [this is at midday mind you] and we thought that was quite stupid as another man had taken his wife's Porsche Cayenne Turbo out on the track and it made more noise than the Maserati. The guy that owned the green Lotus took his out too. I was filming the Maserati before it left the track and just followed the green Exige then and on his last round, he spun and headed towards a grass mound and CRUNCH! hit the front splitter on the grass hill. Everyone kinda winced and groaned in unison before he reversed off it to more crunching, leaving behind the front of his splitter and a licence plate! That is why I didn't take my car out - how would you explain that to insurance and it wouldn't be covered anyway!

That night was Talisha's 17th birthday party.
I picked up Olivia around 6.45pm then went to Talisha's place. We arrived just before 7pm.
We were testing mocktails, had some really good food and everything.
We played SingStar for a bit before getting the chocolate fountain and more mocktails.
After that, she cut the cake [which was just fabulous! Thanks to her Mum, Karan, who spent 7 hours making it!] then, at around 10.30pm, we all went for a walk to the cemetery and her Dad and another family member [I forgot who... whoops!] scared the crap out of us there by sneaking up wearing masks and growling/yelling at us! It was actually the most fun I've had in a little while! I actually really enjoyed it! I left to take Olivia back home around 11.20pm and got home myself at 11.45pm. I came online and stayed on until 12.30am then I had to go to bed. I was going to stay awake and call but I was too tired... Some broken sleep would be better than none... The alarm to went off at 4.30am and so I called him, the first thing he said was, "Are you alright? You aren't drunk, are you?" and I laughed and said, "No! It's 4.30 in the morning, I've just woken up!" and we had a quick chat as a friend had invited him out at quite short notice so he was in the process of getting ready. I went back to bed around 5am and slept right through...

... until 7.30am but I lay in bed and went back to sleep and didn't actually get up until around 11.15am. I spent the majority of the day on the computer updating random crap and uploading the video off the camera.

Today was the $50 Million jackpot in Oz7 lotto so the day was on and off... One minute it would be flat out and the next would be nothing... dead... then busy again - all bloody day! If I had $1 for everytime I said the price of quick picks, I think I'd have enough to keep me going for quite some time indeed! I finished work at 5.45pm with 45 mins of overtime and went next door to the bottle-o and got myself a Corona then went to the fruit shop and bought a lime off Keith to make my Corona complete. I'll tell you, I really enjoyed that beer tonight! :-) I've also indulged again and had strawberries and cream too!

Now I'm about to upload the pics of my new model cars...

Talk soon!

*hugs*
