There are about two dozen Goldenrod species native to Wisconsin. This one, as best I can tell, is Showy Goldenrod (Solidago speciosa). I love goldenrods - and they flower in autumn when most flowers are done. We have them too. I'll try to remember to post a photo tomorrow.
