While moored in Loano we took a local bus up to the Caves in Toirano. They were spectacular! Even though the whole tour was conducted in Italian, the sights were amazing and spoke for themselves. There were cave bear bones from 24,000 years ago and also a hand, knee and several foot prints from 'man' 12,000 years ago. Here are a few pictures that don't come close to doing it justice.

What caves !! ....and the fact they are more than 24,000 yrs, yes I would think it is hard to get everything in a photo to express the awe of these caves.
