Just so you know, Neville Shute once visited Toronto, in the summer of 1930. Arrived by the R-100 airship which he helped to design.
I find these shots of demolishing Buffalo rather depressing. Photographically fine of course, but they make me so sad. Buffalo is such a proud city, but so humilated by economic change.
Quite a requiem. Something poignant about those cut-off tendril-like cables.
Re: Don't worry about being ID'd as Aremican. We are welcome once again, even embraced. Partly political, partly economic.
Re guerilla gardening: the best one is in Kensington market where an entire car has been planted with a lawn on the roof. Occasionally you see dog owners allowing their pets to use the vegetation as a toilet.
