Feeling as a whole

In the cloud of people we finally find every body. There are hugs, kisses, hand shakes and back poking, but over all there are smiles. It’s funny to feel that you are back, we are all together once more, and inside we know that this may not be for good, but still it’s what it is right now. Standing still with the glass bubbles in one hand, waiting for the reason we came here to start.
Suddenly the drums start beating, the constant sound gets faster and faster, till the lead steps forwards and screams at us in a “hi” way. This is when my arms automatically rise with a close, with a strength I haven’t seen for a while. We shout as well, and a fun shiver runs from my feet crossing my body till my smile. I don’t need to think, I don’t have to reason; all I know is that there we are, I’m surrounded by the most positive air I could ask for.
…and the singing starts… as a chorus we were, every single voice belted in a high sound that helps side with the song. I feel the breath of somebody in my neck and I still don’t feel encroached, the healthy environment that holds us up believing that all together is better.
We all look at each other and can’t help laughing as we try to sing along. Within the crowd I get to see so many known faces and friendly words of welcome. At a certain point my legs impulse me up, without even knowing I’m jumping at the rhythm of the music, beating with the voice of my beliefs, realising how much I missed those words and how unable I was to enjoy them by myself.
Backing the fresh sea, under the starry night, and facing the mazy streets of what this place used to be. I can’t help feeling what I am, where I belong and where will it take me… and realise that belonging is not necessarily for ever…
…jump, sing along, laugh, dance, talk, shout, non stop.
