La canción fue escrita por Sugar Hill sesión músico Ed "Duque Bootee" Fletcher y Furious Cinco MC Melle Mel. Flash y los demás miembros de The Furious Cinco, aunque acreditados en el expediente, se interesan por la grabación de la canción y no se encuentran en el producto acabado registro.
