¡Viva la Gloria!
7/10/09Billie: ¡Viva la Gloria! Fue escrita en diferentes etapas. Mientras la estaba componiendo, la llamaba “Amelie” o algo por el estilo. Pero pensé en el nombre Gloria. Es la primera vez que trato de escribir desde el punto de vista de una mujer. Creo que le aporta carne y sangre al disco. Es una canción acerca de mi, pero a través de un personaje.
¿Vos sos Gloria, entonces? ¿Quién es Gloria?
Billie: Gloria es la portadora de la antorcha o alguien que trata de aferrarse a sus creencias, al punk rock o como quieras llamarlo. Eso es lo que pienso que transmite la canción. Gloria es el personaje principal del álbum. Cuando nosotros escribimos canciones, lo hacemos desde el punto de vista del artista que toca sobre un escenario frente a personas, y eso nos lleva a hacer un rock teatral, canciones que tienen diferentes climas.
