Many people who've struggled with their weight know what a challenging and frustrating experience it can be. It can feel maddening to try so hard, yet not see our efforts reflected on the scale, and many of us wind up feeling defeated. This article can help you find a way to lose weight and keep you encouraged!
When you are trying to lose weight, weigh yourself regularly. This will show your results. It is a good idea to record your progress on a chart. Those who keep such records generally experience more weight loss success.
Who does not enjoy french fries? They are usually a great pitfall for many who want to lose weight. But if you want french fries that will help your scale go down instead of up, try baking them. Cut your potatoes about a 1/2" thick, put them into a bowl with a tbsp. of oil, then lightly add a pinch of rosemary (optional), salt, and pepper; bake one layer for 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Loosen with a spatula, turn, and bake another 10 min. or so. These fries are great with catsup and contain far fewer calories than their deep-fried counterparts. This great "French Bakes" recipe is courtesy of Laurel's Kitchen cookbook.
