May 1968 - A rally for Democratic presidential candidate Eugene McCarthy at the University of California Santa Barabara - McCarthy was
the most anti-war of any of the candidates. Humphrey went on to
win the nomination, and then was defeated by Nixon.

Many Democrats who are old enough to remember those times are no doubt hoping that Dean will not suffer the fate of Gene.
