Taughannock Falls State Park - A Set of 6 Pictures

11/7/09
Taughannock Falls, an old favorite. Much of my love for nature started in this park. My parents brought me here often as a child. My sister came along 7 years after me and by the time I was 11 or so my parents 'turned me loose' to explore on my own. I've never looked back.

This set of pictures is a quick look around from the north and south rim trails. If you look closely you will notice two people and a dog just above and to the left of the falls. From where they are standing it is a 230ft shear drop to the base of the gorge below.

Greg, Beauty! And a nice memory you give us, as well. Some of my own best memories are from being turned loose in the woods, where I and my imagination could run wild. Bests, Paul

“María, mírame”.

Greg, what a wonderful series of images you have presented for us to view. Some of these images remind somewhat of the Grand Canyon which I visited for the only time in 2002. How great to be able to do that. These images are truly breathtaking. Great captures.

Have a good Saturday.

Awesome, Greg!! And it is always nice, when you Gold Camera guys show a whole series of pics!

About these people standing there: I can hardly stand looking at this! How easily can one slip in wet fallen leaves, and it's one half a step away from certain death! I really don't understand, just why playing with death is so attractive to young people nowadays...

Thank you for telling us, we needn't go all the way to the Grand Canyon to encounter great nature in the US.

have a nice week end!

Beautiful (no more no less)
& a song by Enya for this stunning view

What a place! Gorgeous shots, the one that shows a panoramic view is impressive. Is it a canyon?

it is a joy! to look over all Gregs fotolog as I just did. This spring we stayed in Buffalo NY, our first stay in the USA.
(http://www.fotolog.com/pcygo/59006386 and followings,
http://www.fotolog.com/pcygo/59314068 and followings and more to
come). My pictures with my simple Olympus wz7070 and Canon G9 are just to show some things to our Dutch friends that pleased us in the region. Gregs albums show on a more professional level the beauty of NY State nature. Inspiring !

Hi Greg!
what a gorgeous photo!
such an amazing spot!
can never see enough photos of it!
hope your weekend continues great
take care!

I love falls!
They seam to me very romantique.

Yes,Greg muslin costumes are very different from ours....but I like to live here.
I'm learning arabic.

Have a good day.
Hugs.

A good choice was made by your parents. I'd go back there as often as I could!
Tootles...Chris

Very impressive country, Greg. And you live sort of nearby? I envy you ...
Re SF houses: yes, these houses are typical. I'll be showing several more, prettier than these. I just love American houses.

Maybe not the highest falls in the world, but they are very impressive.
