Wow Greg; great capture. And as we can see in the image he indeed did see you, it appears. We have plentiful deer down here in southeren New Jersey also. They are beautiful creatures that's for sure. The one you captured in your photo appeared to be a two pointer and had some size to him. What a great shot. congrats.
Have a good evening.

Hi Greg!
Great Photo! He posed so well for you!
We have quite a few deer around here too, especially around the University where they know they are safe, and pretty much ignore us two legged ones. There are also some pumas about that feed on them. Somehow this photo reminds me of my high school days, around this time of the year, when suddenly, during the first week of hunting season, most of the males disappeared from classes, for their annual ritual. I am glad I never took part. Hope you are well! have a great week! take care
I forgot to answer your question about the city photo, and the Thunderbirds, etc. There is a hockey team there with that name and I think they are not NHL though. But it is a symbol you see quite often there, also, in native american art. The one thing about Seattle is that it is surrounded by water, prett much on 3 sides. I don't know what view you have there. But you could check google maps and go to satellite view, it is pretty awesome http://maps.google.com/ The domed stadium there is pretty distinct, and the Space Needle. take care!
Hi Greg,
Nice deer photo--perfect setting! I think maybe he gave you a quick pose, just to check you out as you did him.
We've got deer all over the place here; in fact, when my grandkids were here, we had a virtual herd of about eight of them saunter across the road, right in my condo community here, which is adjacent to Rock Creek Park. Their only enemies are automobiles. Like you, though, we don't see the bucks very often.
Bests, Paul
such a great catch!!
Congratulations , Greg.. you where fast enough!!
Have a nice time overthere!!
Ruth
A stunning picture, Greg!! Your deer seem to be a bit different to the European deer, smaller maybe?
Have a nice time!
ERwin
I rarely see them too. Females and babies are more curious, I guess, so we see them more often. They doo look us in the eye, don't they?
Wonderful!
hugs
Congretulations, dear Greg - such a wonderful photo from so close by!!! I love to look at it for a long time.
Thank you for updating me about your dear mom - I wish her all the best and that you will have the time and be able to take all the necessary efforts she needs.

Absolutely wonderful! So lucky you got the first view before he ran. I would guess he's a whitetail, my sister sees them near the farm in Manitoba.
We get deer here in the wood near us but only very occasionally, and I've never managed to get a photo.
Hello Greg,This is a gorgeous picture, how lucky you were to be able to take it.
Some years ago before I was into photography ,I was at my brothers in California where the deer used to get into his garden.
Yes the walking trail was a gated one and we had to watch where we put pur feet as the cows had left their tradwmark...hehe
Enjoy the day.
Maisie
great photo, beautiful animal. I wish we had them nearby.
Re: I agree with you that people in big cities are less considerate than people in villages; I guess they're more stressed out because of the pace of life in cities. But fortunately there are a lot of exceptions.
I'm glad your heel spur dissappeared. It gives me some hope, too.
I used to walk for hours through foreign cities, but I was too handicapped for that this time.
(thanks for your comments!)
Hi Greg.
The city of Doha is full of cranes....yes it's good to see the construction of the city.
I would love to meet a deer...... Who knows, one day. They are just lovely creatures.
You are lucky to meet them.
Have a nice day.
Hugs.
Marisa.
Greg, Your "Deer in the headlights" image is getting alot of comments. That's a good thing. Thanks for your comments on my "Sky" image. I thought the colors were nice. The tree line has some interesting shapes. See "Heikers comments".
Have a good evening.
