Bank Holidays, I admit to loathing them as I see it as having two Sunday's in a week and I get easily confused and have to start checking calendars and the like to know what day it is. But, to work-shy types like myself everyday is pretty similar anyway. Or as Morrissey would put it 'Everyday is like Sunday, Everyday is stupid and grey' indeed.

I'd be a bit more inspired if our Bank Holidays were similar to Mediterranean Saints Days and communities come together 2 carry icons of the Virgin Mary or insert name of Saint here ____ around the town, eat lots of pasta, greek salads, or insert regional dish here ____, followed by music, parades with characters with giant papier mache heads which would put Jeux Sans Frontieres to shame http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eza3J4EgEE8 and fireworks!! Hurrah!! All I could find was a giant car boot sale and a 'Funday'. Instead I stayed in bed late and watched old non-animated Disney films like The Moon-Spinners. Which has got me thinking of selling everything and buying a beach hut on a Greek island with an unpronouncable name. Where I would make a living mending fishing nets and would sit around tavernas looking enigmatic and playing cards with retired admirals. But, as I'm useless at mending fishing nets (I'm only guessing, as I've never actually done any mending of fishing nets) and as I'm useless at cards I'll have to think of something else. Taking snaps of holidaymakers or international diamond smuggler? See you after the film.
