About me

I`m just an ordinary mom who enjoys taking photos of ordinary stuff in an extraordinary way. I do it primarily for fun, although I convert many of my images into greeting cards with the intent of making a little money. Then, I end up giving them all away :)

As of May 2005, I have a new camera! It`s a Canon EOS 300D, also known as a Digital Rebel (first generation, not an XT). I was able to find an all-black one, and got a good deal on a Canon 100mm macro lens and a Tamron 28-75 zoom. Then I got crazy and bought the new Canon 60mm macro and a Canon 70-200 tele-zoom and a Tamron 17-35 wide angle zoom. I think I`m done now ;-)

Well... not quite.

As of August 2006, I upgraded my camera to a Canon 30D, and bought the new Canon 70-300 IS tele-zoom AND the Canon Speedlite 430EX flash. It`s time to sell some gear.

Prior to this photo http://www.fotolog.com/coyote/?pid=10895479 all my pictures were taken with a Canon PowerShot A80. It`s a fantastic, inexpensive camera with great macro capability. Its been discontinued, but its successor, the A95, is even cooler. Note: The A85 is NOT the upgrade from the A80.

OCTOBER 2005 UPDATE: Canon has just introduced the upgrades for the A95. The new models are the A610 and A620.

SEPTEMBER 2006 UPDATE: Canon has introduced so many new cameras, I can no longer keep track. They have included image stabilization (IS) in several of the new cameras, which is a very cool thing.
