no hat no boots no vest no job

11/7/09
This sign was on the side of a workman's portable cabin on a building site in front of the Usher Hall, a large stone rotunda concert building which is undergoing a huge amount of upgrading and renovation. I know its meant as a safety reminder for the builders working on the site but thought of it as a comment on the current recession and laughed. Folks walking past were giving me odd looks wondering what I was laughing at and why I was taking this pic, but that's their problem for being unobservant and not being so good at amusing themselves.

Reminds me of the spoof student banking ad . . .

No Money?

No Job?

Then Fuck Off!

Hi Joe!
Yes, I know the 'recession feeling'! Our bosses are constantly reminding us of all the unemployed people, and how easily we could be replaced. Well, I hope those fat cat bankers are enjoying their Carribbean vacations, lolz! take care, mate!

As one who has had do deal with dress codes this got a bit smile :))

Re: It was the birds own idea :))

That sign can ring a bell at many corners.
Interestingly enough I never had to "prove" that my magazines were loaded. I used to carry around 30 hollow points.
Tootles...Chris

Well, I was wearing all those yesterday, and the job was entertaining some friends from London. We had a great time despite the dreadful weather, which we still have today. The friends are 'doing' the Guggy today, much better to be inside a museum/art gallery than out in the street.

Hope you can come over sometime, but maybe wait till the weather is a little more clement.
Have a good Sunday.
Hugs, P
