My little cousin and his wife had their second child just a few days ago, another wee girl, who they've called Erin Patricia. The Patricia part is in honour of my mum, who would have loved that (although she never used the full name, she preferred just Pat). Erin Patricia's big sister Caitlin still draws wee pictures and gives them to my dad to give to my mum and asks when she will see Aunty Pat. I was through to see dad today and I got to see the new baby while I was through. I'm deeply touched at her naming but also sad that here's a new child in our family who will never be cuddle by my mum, although she'll certainly never lack for love and hugs. Welcome to planet Earth, little darling, may your good days always outweigh the ones which try to drag you down and may you always be surrounded by people who will make it that way.
