Steel band at the canal festival

My dad came through last weekend with my cousin and her husband and two of their grandkids and we went up to Lochrin Basin, which I've featured on here before, its where the Union Canal ends in the middle of the city not too far from my home, an area that's been largely regenerated now. You might remember a couple of years back I posted pics of the first raft race along that stretch of canal, well now its a whole day event with the canal fest.
Sadly the sunny weather I'd been enjoying on my week off vanished to be replaced with cloud and mist then as they came through actual rain. We went up but it was gray and wet and we decided to go for lunch first at the Filmhouse then back round to find it had dried out. We had missed most of the actual raft race annoyingly but we enjoyed the stalls and music, the kids got on some rides then we went for a free boat trip down the canal. These smiling ladies were playing steel band music undeterred by the gray clouds and I had to take some pics of them and post them up in honour of V3getable Man and Marjoriecat and their musical pics.
