Hi Barb! Gorgeous Photo! Beautiful Simplicity!
Thanks for the recommendations on Bill Miller and Steve Kirkman! I have been listening to their music while I surf! Steve Kirkman's song, "I don't Want to Be A Soldier" (is that a Lennon song?) is especially appropriate, considering this weeks report about homeless vets:
" More than 25 percent of the homeless population in the United States are military veterans, although they represent 11 percent of the civilian adult population, according to a new report. On any given night last year, nearly 196,000 veterans slept on the street, in a shelter or in transitional housing, the study by the Homelessness Research Institute found." "Veterans make up a disproportionate share of homeless people," the report said. "This is true despite the fact that veterans are better educated, more likely to be employed and have a lower poverty rate than the general population."http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/11/08/homeless.veterans/index.html
Hope you are enjoying the weekend! It is a two-concert weekend for me, so I will be posting about some shows! take care! *hugs*
Hey Barb,
I just joined Step it Up not too long ago, also! I think it is *so* important to do whatever we can to arrest climate change. I enjoyed your photo of that.
Have a great week.
Elizabeth
Hey, cuz...yup, we'll be at Jeff and Nancy's after Thanksgiving, along with Linda. Can't wait for Scott Matthew either!
Ah that pic is just fantastic! I love that blurry background!
And great video, I wish I´d been listening to him...
Happy monday!
Hello Barb, you are right. I would like that spot in the library. I would enjoy the view. A photography break from time to time would be nice too. I'm liking the look of the bare and semi-bare trees. This can be an exciting time of year for pictures.
I hope all is well. All is well with me. Hope you have a good start to the new week. Take care. Hugs, Greg

hi there barb! thanks for visiting and posting. that is such good news about your friend, must have been such a worrying time for her, and you too.
things here are fine, thanks for asking. work is still - well, it is "still" what it is, a means to pay the bills, nothing more. but aside from that life is pretty good. finding some creativity in my photography, also in redesigning my website (won't be ready for online just yet but it is coming along!) - also done some more development work for the -- amazing -- artist ted nasmith (tednasmith.com) -- those new paintings will be up online in a few days when i have finished testing it all out. it feels as though "something" (something good!) is a-moving somewhere down beneath my feet - just not sure what it is or where it will take me.....
and of course, christmas is coming!
bye for now
best wishes
martin
wow.. very great..
how are you dear barb???
I hope you're very nice..
my best regards
happy monday...
kisses

re: sweet and the cat...well...BRAT is my favorite word for her..lol
In all her oh...about 15years...I don't think she has ever figured out that she is not human hehehe.
I rescued her from the middle of the road late one night (she had been hit) on my semester off from college, and well...she has been my favorite brat ever since.
Thanks for your visit Barb, that was a nice place to sit and take in the view.
Hope you have a nice day. Hugs, Greg

Hi, babe:
Sorry I'm not online much but since you already know the reason why, no need to say more. I hope you're doing well and that your courses are deeply satisfying to you. As you can see from my page, I'm trying as hard as I can to walk without the crutches, and even without "the boot". Today is the first day I've gotten up in the morning, put on a good pair of socks and my New Balance running shoes, and just walked. It is slow, painful, and amazingly awkward. I have almost no strength in my foot because of the disuse. But I'm trying very hard. That's all I can say.
Have a great weekend!
