La ciudad de Kemi, en Laponia, Finlandia, con alrededor de 23 mil habitantes, es famosa porque anualmente se construye allí el castillo de nieve más grande del mundo. El castillo cuenta con una capilla, un hotel, salas de exposiciones, restaurante y hasta un lugar para presentar espectáculos. Si alguien es capaz de fundir tal cantidad de hielo con su música es el grupo Sonata Arctica, surgido en esta población con el nombre de Tricky Beans en 1996 y que ha llevado el nombre de Kemi a cientos de miles de bocas alrededor del mundo.

Bautizado Sonata Arctica en 1999 —sabia decisión— el grupo de power metal ha cultivado un importante número de seguidores en México, al grado que sus discos son editados con éxito por una compañía nacional. Con la voz de Tony Kakko al frente, quien confiesa que las grandes influencias de la banda han sido Queen y Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica ha creado un sonido propio que ha sobrevivido los vaivenes de sus cambios de integrantes.

De acuerdo con Sergi Ramos en www.themetalcircus.com, es el “último bastión del power metal europeo, una de las últimas bandas nacidas de esa época dorada para el power que fue el final de la pasada década que aún el día de hoy siguen siendo vigentes”. Sonata Arctica ha “conseguido acuñar un sonido propio que les ha llevado a ser considerados por los fans más allá de las barre-
ras estilísticas”, porque “han sabido evolucionar sin traicionar sus raíces”.

Bien traumado jajajaj! me vale madreee!! eh esperado a esta banda desde hace muchos años, y sufri la maldita cancelacion en el MMF II... en fin, en fin, dejare mi trauma a un lado.. solo para decir que asistire el dia sabado 8 de septiembre a verlos y que ya consegui boleto para mi novia.. te amo Zyanya! ahhh y ella me consiguio el disco para la firma de autografos.... que haria sin ti, mi vida..hermosa!!!!
Mañana andare de visita en ranchorrey y pues lo bueno que trabajo de Lunes a Viernes ja ja ja yeah!
