I was at the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, the third leg of the Triple Crown. Big Brown (with the jockey in white with blue stars) was the heavy favorite. The jockey pulled him up before the final stretch and didn't finish the race even though the horse was fine. Da' Tara took the win. There were over 90,000 people at Belmont Racetrack on Saturday, and we were all hoping to see Big Brown blow the roof off the place and win the Triple Crown for the first time in 30 years. Think of all the money lost. Although I won the trifecta on a hot tip last year, this year I didn't bet a dime. I just focused on my $7 hamburger and my $7 black and tan, and getting a good spot for the race. We were one row behind the front, and had a perfect view. Even though Big Brown disappointed, it was a fun afternoon.
