Tercer disco de los alemanes, cuenta con una cantidad conciderables de temas clásicos. Con sonidos más profundos, pulidos, y letras mucho mejor logradas, Tales from the twilight world se convierte en el primer paso de una nueva faceta bardiana. Es bastante similar a los discos anteriores, pero en él ya se comienza a oler bastante aquella evolución que se avecina. Guardian no deja de sorprender, no decae como quizas algunos pensaron, si no que va viento en popa.
