Even if retired - I`ve not that time spending hrs for uploading a photo into fotolog up to 25 times...

Me too I agree, I have my activities already mostly at flickr! It`s a shame, it was a great time here and the structure was so wonderful easy.....

It`s just such a damn shame!! Such good guys, with such good hearts, foolish enough to believe that`s all they needed, stubborn enough not to listen to other voices. They may have earned their demise, but that doesn`t make the mourning any easier on those of us they left.
I too found Flickr, oh, way back in September. If you`ve not tried it, do. It only seems difficult. It`s not, really. It has a dozen features right off the bat that are wonderful and the quality of the images is ten, twenty times better than here! And not once has it refused my upload. NOT ONCE!!!! And that`s at least two images a day since the end of Sept.

I`ll be sorry to see you go. Flickr has its good points, but no feeling of community, which is what I like here.

You are gone... We are going to miss you. Maybe, when fotolog returns working, you can come back. By te way, I will visit you.

i understand how you feel. it`s the time consumption factor that bothers me. lately i`ve had no problems with fotolog (knock on wood) and will stay here until it gets too rough to handle. it`s a sad day to see one of "the group" leave, but i`ll see you over at flickr! john/

A Time for Starting All Over... I Wish a Better Year for All!!!

*Am very sad, many of my friends that were in Phuket still are in the listing of not located... and probably they never will be. Things are in situations which I can`t have any real comprehension of. Some of my friends that reside in that area, had commented that the number of expatriates` deaths are really very, but very superior to the official listing. Well, tomorrow is another day and hopefully good news will come... I will be out of photo sites again, tomorrow I will starting a voluntary work in the Singapore expatriate association, helping the families of the missing people. It is being very sad!

My advice would be to keep a foot in both camps...

flickr`s web traffic is still less, but is fast increasing to fotolog levels and I got this message tonight at flickr:
" Slow uploads? Due to outrageous volume, processing new uploads is slow. Please don`t upload twice. "

Their increased popularity is their main problem.
I hope they all learn to manage the traffic a bit better...
