Inauguration 2009
1/20/09
when I think of history which I have mostly seen on TV, presidential inaugurations are hardly memorable much less historic
I remember Kennedy's inauguration, maybe because I was 4 years old, and Kennedy's assassination, Vietnam, the lunar landing, Woodstock, Watergate, Nixon's resignation, Star wars, Billy Carter, the attack of the embassy in Beirut, the hostages in Iran, Reagan shot, John Lennon killed, the capture of Noriega, the first gulf war, the fall of the Berlin wall, Monica Lewinsky, the impeachment of Clinton and 9/11.
A 200 million dollar party for the coolest president ever about as exciting as the 72 hour vigil surrounding the incarceration of Paris Hilton.
I wish President Obama nothing but the best and the hand of God on his shoulder in these trying times but lets judge the man on the job he does and not the party he throws.
Well, the election of our first black president was enough to bring you back from the dead here. Must be a big deal, huh? Nice to see your work again, whatever the reason. Good job!
