Aangekomen op ons vakantiecomplex in Kroatië

Hier zijn wij aangekomen op ons vakantiecomplex in Kroatië. We zijn gereist door Duitsland, Oostenrijk, in Oostenrijk door de Felbertauerntunnel, daarna door Noord-Italië, langs de stad Triëst, door Slovenië en dan naar de uiterste zuidpunt van het schiereiland Istrië. Ons vakantieappartement is in het dorp Medulin, vlak bij de stad Pula. De eerste dag hadden we geen zin, om zelf eten te maken, dus maar gegeten in een van de 2 restaurants op het park, met uitzicht op de Adriatische zee. Is dat decadent, of niet? We hebben daar een typisch Kroatisch gerecht gegeten, genaamd "Cevapcici", dat zijn gekruide gehaktrolletjes, met frites, uienringen, Ajvar (een speciale Kroatische saus van aubergines, paprika's, tomaten en allerlei speciale kruiden) en een salade. En een heel groot glas ijskoude Cola. Erg lekker!
Voor de liefhebbers: in Nederland verkoopt de Lidl ook Cevapcici, maar je kunt het ook zelf maken. Zie hier: http://www.tastyweb.nl/recept/cevapcici

Eet het maar rustig, als je van een kruidige maaltijd houdt. Je zult er geen spijt van hebben.

Finally we arrived at our holiday complex. We travelled by car through Germany, Austria, in Austria through the Felbertauerntunnel, North-Italy, we passed the town of Triëste, Slovenia and after that to the south of the Istria Peninsula. Our appartment is in the village of Medulin, near the town of Pula.
The first day we liked to have dinner in one of the complex's two restaurants, with a view to the Adriatic Sea. Very decadent, having dinner with a view at the Adriatic Sea! The menue was a typical Croatian speciality, named "Cevapcici" (spicy minced meat rolls), French fried potatoes, onion rings, Ajvar (a typical Croatian sauce of eggplants, tomatoes, sweet peppers, and some other spices) and a salad. And a very big glass of ice-cold Coca Cola. Delicious!
